The air has changed and baby, it`s cold outside

Its cold and damp outside, the kind of weather where a cup of earl grey tea really hits the spot. Its gloomy out, which doesnt lend to the best window view from the studio but at least Ill spend less time daydreaing out the window and more time focusing on the work at hand.
By the end of the month I have one large custom order (one personalized book) and two custom address books for a client I have through Unique Creations Artisan Outlet in Niagara...a great store, especially for the hoolidays coming up. The Im going to replenish the `what do you think` journal ( different than the first of course since they are all one of a kind) in the store.
That journal was something I had made and thought was sooooooo brilliant but no one in person seemed to like or to get it. Bummer. Now I have seemed to find my appreciative niche!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

There are many things that I am so thankful for this year. If I list them, tears may happen so I will generically say I am thankful for those people in my life that sick by me every day with honesty and love in their hearts. I am a lucky girl, what can I say!
Last weekend I was a part of the 35th annual Fort Erie Heritage day. It was my first time participating in this event, and I met some wonderful people. It was a lovely event with a tea room, bouncy castle for the kids, tracktor rides, horse drawn carriage rides, a classic car show, really yummy pies, butter tarts and amazing cinnamon buns for sale.
Having said all tht, it was the coldest day I have ever experienced. It rained and was misty and so windy that I had windburn on my face. BUT I made it through the day, Im still dreading the weather but all in all it was a good day.
Despite the cold weather, there was a good turn out of visitors and everyones spirits were up. It was quite nice. When we first arrived, with me being in a wheelchair, I wasnt really able to give my dad much help with putting up the tent. Out of no where, once he started with the tents unfolding, maybe 6 people came out of no where to help! It brought a warmth to my heart, they were so kind! And then throughout the day, several women from the tea room came out to me with hot apple cider to keep me warm..out of no where, they were so kind.
I want to thank everyone that was helpful and that I met at the show, it was certainly an experience that I remembered all week when I was sick in bed. Seriously though, everyone was so wonderful! Thanks to all.
I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and is able to spend it with those they love and think about the things and people that you are thankful for this year!
